Fixing the Georgian bookshop megaphone

5:19

Illustrative worked example. Same brief as the written case study this episode is drawn from -- a realistic room run through Echo, not an account of a named past client. Read it in full: A bookshop that wanted quiet, and a fix modelled to get it back.

Episode notes

An illustrative example: a ground-floor sales floor in a converted Georgian townhouse -- painted plaster walls, original bare floorboards and a plaster ceiling with its original rose.

The owner wanted the ceiling rose, cornicing and floorboards kept fully visible. The decision: full-height fabric wall panels on uncovered wall sections, an upholstered bench seat near the till and a heavy curtain at the stockroom doorway.
