Acoustic product passport

Every product, on one honest page.

Put a product's absorption evidence into one consistent format: what it is, how it was tested, how it absorbs across the octave bands, where the figures came from, and where they stop applying.

Worked example

Watch a passport fill in, field by field.

The panel is fictional. Six rings show the absorption figures for 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 hertz: 125 hertz 0.18, 250 hertz 0.52, 500 hertz 0.86, 1000 hertz 0.98, 2000 hertz 0.95, 4000 hertz 0.88.

The checker

It spots what a specifier would ask about.

Try breaking the example

The checker only flags what is missing or looks odd. It never changes your entries.

How it works and its limits

    • Every figure in a passport is what the maker supplied, usually copied from a laboratory test report. AcoustaPLOT has not tested, verified or certified the product or the data.
    • The checker confirms that fields are present and look plausible. It does not confirm they are true. Rely on the named test report.
    • Absorption figures are normally measured to ISO 354, and the result depends on how the sample was mounted, so the passport records the mounting as tested.
    • Nothing is stored or published. Download your passport before you leave the page.
    • The rings and moving arcs in the 3D view are an illustration, not a measurement, and the example product is fictional. Figures are an indicative design guide only.
