Fixing Hall Echo Without Scaffolding

4:34

Illustrative worked example. Same brief as the written case study this episode is drawn from -- a realistic room run through Echo, not an account of a named past client. Read it in full: A chapel hall, fixed without hired access equipment.

Episode notes

An illustrative example: a single-storey community hall with brick walls, a parquet floor and exposed roof trusses, with a target set by the brief.

With no budget for scaffolding or a contractor lift, every fix had to be installable by volunteers from a stepladder, ruling out wall panels. The decision: curtains at the tall side windows, a carpet runner down the central aisle and seat pads on the stacking chairs.
